 XML in payment transfers
The international standardisation of payment transfer communications is fully underway.
The standardisation process will be carried out substantially more professionally than in the EDIFACT standard, which now appears to be somewhat antiquitated.
At that time the technical aids were not available for developing and documenting the standard and to make information available to everyone.
With regard to the data content (core components) the internationally standardised XML communications will be based on the EDIFACT standard; eventually there will be an elimination of certain elements of information, which are no longer required in today’s automated business processes.
STUZZA is fully involved in the work of international standardisation of XML communications for payment transfers and is currently gaining competence in XML application and XML technology.
