EDIFACT The strict maintenance of jointly determined norms is a key requirement for the smooth functioning for inter-bank purposes in everyday application standards. The corresponding and standardised types of communication were established by us together with the cooperation of the Austrian banks. These types of communication are valid throughout Austria. The exchange of data between the customer and the bank and between the Austrian banks is carried out by means of the internationally standardised EDIFACT communication. You will find in the EDIFACT download area a detailed description of the communication and information used for the use of EDIFACT in Austrian payment transfers.

XML XML is considered by all to be the new data format. XML is a universal format for structured documents and data in the web (according to the definition by A3C). XML is browser capable, i.e. it can be visualised in internet sessions, provided that the browser supports the corresponding XML version. It is also mainly desirable to have available a so-called stylesheet (XSL) which makes longer XML communications really legible for the user.
